NFL teams finalized their 53-man rosters by the Sunday 6 p.m. ET deadline ahead of the 2026 season. The Cowboys released second-year running back Jaydon Blue. The Colts retained quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. The Bills cut undrafted cornerback Kani Walker, leaving only three true cornerbacks on the roster, and also waived players including QB Shane Buechele, RB Frank Gore Jr., and multiple offensive linemen and receivers.

The Dolphins traded Quinn Ewers for Kyle Mc Cord to address backup quarterback concerns and released linebacker Tyrel Dodson to open a starting spot for second-round pick Jacob Rodriguez. Additional moves included waivers of DE Cameron Goode, WR Terrace Marshall Jr., OT Charlie Heck, and several others across Miami's roster. These transactions reflect roster shaping as teams prepare for the season opener between the Seahawks and Patriots on Sept. 9.
