Rookie Jeremiyah Love became the Arizona Cardinals' primary running back in their 36-30 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, playing 52 snaps compared to Tyler Allgeier's 30. Love finished with 90 rushing yards on 21 carries and five catches for 19 yards and a touchdown.

"Left a lot out there, I feel like," Love said. "I feel like I could help the team a lot more." He added that he got into a groove in the second half when he ran for 41 yards, though the Cardinals were trailing badly throughout.

Coach Mike La Fleur said Love handled the increased workload "well" and praised his performance. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett noted Love looked comfortable and "answered the bell" with good plays.

Love expressed gratitude for the opportunity and believes he can improve, stating he could have gained more yards if he hit his holes full speed "like I usually do."

The question of whether Love maintains this expanded role against the New York Giants remains to be determined this week.
