Golden State Valkyries (31-12) and Las Vegas Aces (30-13) vie for the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds. Golden State plays at the Los Angeles Sparks; Las Vegas visits the Phoenix Mercury. The Valkyries claim No. 2 with a win or an Aces loss. If both finish 31-13, Las Vegas gets the tiebreaker via a 3-0 season series.

The Nos. 5 and 6 seeds hinge on the Indiana Fever and Washington Mystics. Indiana (at Minnesota) gets No. 5 with a win (29-15). If Indiana loses and Washington beats Chicago, both finish 28-16, with Washington taking No. 5 on a 2-1 series tiebreaker. The Fever would be No. 6 for a third straight year.

Playoffs open Sunday with best-of-three series on the higher seed's home court.
