Apple has announced the iPhone 18 Pro and its first foldable, the iPhone Duo, on The MacRumors Show. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max gain a smaller Dynamic Island, new Glacier, Burgundy, and Black colors, and the 2nm A20 Pro chip, delivering up to 40% faster sustained performance with a vapor chamber three times larger. The Pro now matches the iPhone 17 Pro Max with up to 24 hours of typical use, while the Pro Max gets up to 30 hours—Apple's biggest generational battery leap ever.

Both models feature a 48-megapixel main camera with variable aperture from f/1.48 to f/4.0, new Pro Controls for manual aperture, shutter speed, and white balance, texture and grain controls in Photographic Styles, and Apple Reference Image, which signs photo data at capture. Pricing starts at $1,199 and $1,299, $100 more than last year, with higher storage tiers rising up to $500. Pre-orders begin Saturday, September 12 ahead of a September 18 launch.

The Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 introduce a Health Sensing System measuring heart rate every five seconds and HRV every five minutes, feeding a daily Readiness score. A new S11 chip with twice the RAM powers Audio Intelligence features including Sound Recognition, Live Rewind, and Siri Recap. Aluminum models have Ceramic Shield for 60% tougher displays, titanium models come in Radiant Gold and Natural, and ceramic returns in Pearl White and Night Blue.
