On AI, Ternus reiterated Apple's stance that Siri AI is "not designed to be your friend," echoing Craig Federighi's earlier comments. He emphasized Apple doesn't want to replace human relationships, which are essential for learning, growth, and joy.

Regarding his CEO appointment, Ternus revealed Tim Cook and Apple's board asked him to consider the role, which came as a surprise. "I never in a million years would have imagined that happening," he said. Ternus insists no radical changes are planned, maintaining Apple's longstanding focus on innovation, products, and customers. He described saying "one more thing" on stage as "pretty magical" and "goosebumps," following in the footsteps of Steve Jobs and Cook.
