Xiaomi has launched its 17T series with a €100 price hike compared to last year. The standard 17T starts at €750 while the Pro model begins at €900, pushing the sub-flagship line toward the €1,000 threshold. This generation marks a significant shift as the vanilla model brings key improvements that could change consumer preference patterns compared to last year when the 15T Pro easily won over its standard counterpart.

The 17T Pro stands closer to flagship territory with a Dimensity 9500 chipset, 1/1.31" camera sensor, and 7,000mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Meanwhile, the standard 17T features a Dimensity 8500, smaller 1/1.55" sensor, and 6,500mAh battery with 67W charging. Both models now share the same 50MP 5x periscope telephoto camera, though the vanilla model has a smaller 6.59" display compared to last generation's 6.83".

Xiaomi's strategy reflects industry trends toward premium mid-range devices. The T-series now offers more compelling features across the lineup, narrowing the gap between standard and Pro variants. With prices rising globally, Xiaomi faces the challenge of maintaining value perception while delivering improved specifications.
