A week after its initial launch in South Korea, Samsung's One UI 9 update based on Android 17 has officially reached the United States for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The rollout begins with T-Mobile variants, delivered as an over-the-air 4.1GB download. Post-installation, devices run Android 17 with One UI 9, identifiable by a build number ending in "BZID". AT&T and Verizon versions are expected to follow shortly.

One UI 9 introduces several new features, including My Fan Cam, which uses Galaxy AI to track a selected person in wide-shot videos and reframe them into subject-focused clips. Users can also generate and edit Now Brief cards using AI, benefit from streamlined Now Nudge functionality, and access improvements to Creative Studio, Interpreter, Document Scan, and Voice Recorder.

Additionally, the update adds a new Warranty and Care menu under Settings. The update is available now for T-Mobile customers and will soon expand to other major US carriers.
