A recent rumor claimed Samsung would replace the long telephoto camera on the Galaxy S27 Ultra with a shorter 4x lens and larger sensor, but Ice Universe has confirmed this is "100% false." The S27 Ultra will retain the 5x 1/2.52" telephoto module from the S26 Ultra. While the 3x 10MP telephoto module may be removed, its absence is unlikely to be noticed due to the strong performance of the 200MP main camera at smaller zoom levels. Samsung will reshuffle camera positions in the S27 Ultra, as shown in CAD renders, to refresh the phone's design and improve clearance for magnetic accessories like the Magnet Wireless Battery Pack.

The Galaxy S27 Pro, meanwhile, is expected to feature only a 3x 12MP telephoto camera alongside a 200MP main and 50MP ultra-wide, leaving the S27 Ultra with a clear zoom advantage. No new telephoto module is coming for the Ultra model.
