Huawei has announced the global launch of the nova 16s and nova 16s Pro, following their Chinese debut in June. The nova 16s Pro retains its standout 200MP RYYB main camera (f/1.8, OIS), supported by a 1.5MP multi-spectral sensor for color calibration, a 50MP RYYB 3.7x periscope (f/2.6, OIS), and a 50MP RYYB ultra-wide (118° FoV, 2.5cm macro). The selfie camera uses a standard 50MP sensor.

The Pro model features a 6.84” LTPO OLED display with up to 6,000 nits peak brightness, a 7,000m Ah battery with 100W Huawei Super Charge Turbo, and is 7.1mm thin at 218g. Its body uses aerospace-grade aluminum and Kunlun Glass with a nano-crystal coating, making it 10x more drop resistant than the nova 15. The nova 16s has a 6.68” display, a 50MP camera with a 50MP RYYB 3.3x periscope (OIS), and the same 7,000m Ah battery and 100W charging.

Both run EMUI 16.0, with the Pro on a Kirin 9010 S and the nova 16s on a Kirin 8020. Both include AI features like AI Composition, AI Move, AI Remove, AI Best Expression, and AI De-Glare. Pricing and availability will be announced soon.
