Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S27 Ultra in early 2027, with a redesigned rear camera module and one fewer sensor than the Galaxy S26 Ultra. A new leak has detailed the camera processing changes reportedly coming to the flagship. According to well known tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will bring three notable changes to its camera processing.

First, the upcoming Ultra flagship is said to adopt a warmer color temperature instead of the cooler tones seen on previous Ultra models. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is also tipped to offer improved highlight control, particularly when capturing small, bright objects at a distance. This improvement is said to apply to both the primary and 5x telephoto cameras.

Lastly, the upcoming flagship is tipped to produce smoother images, particularly in low-light conditions. Images captured with the Galaxy S27 Ultra are also expected to show less noise in dark areas. Additionally, Ice Universe reiterated that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature only the 5x telephoto camera from the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The main camera is said to use Samsung’s ISOCELL HP6 sensor, a custom version of the company’s HPC sensor.
