Fairphone's first true wireless earbuds, the Fairbuds, launched in April 2024. The Fairbuds 2 are expected in the fourth quarter of this year, between October and December. A new leak reveals the Fairbuds 2 in green and black.

The Fairbuds 2 feature stems, unlike the originals, and have a thicker case, raising questions about a larger battery than the original's 500m Ah. Specs and prices have not been released. However, like the original Fairbuds, the Fairbuds 2 are expected to have individually replaceable parts, consistent with Fairphone's design philosophy.

The original Fairbuds allowed replacement of batteries, silicone rings, tips, and the outer case shell with a Phillips screwdriver and prying tool.
