Volkswagen is bringing Tetris and other games to its 2027 vehicle infotainment displays through the Air Console platform. Developed by N-Dream, the system launches with 20 games including Pac-Man Championship Edition and Uno Car Party, and is integrated into the Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport, Tiguan, Golf GTI, Golf R, and ID models. Players use their smartphones as wireless controllers, with no mention of additional peripherals at launch.

Some games will feature ambient lighting synchronization with the vehicle’s interior. A custom Volkswagen-themed version of Pac-Man replaces power pellets with VW logos and fruit pickups with cars. Access to Air Console requires a subscription to Volkswagen’s In-Vehicle Premium service, which includes Wi-Fi hotspot, exclusive navigation, and other connected features.

Most 2027 models come with three complimentary months; continued access costs $149 per year after the trial period. Games must be played while parked, as noted in the press release.
