The overhauled Sonos 27 platform brings significant upgrades, most notably Wi-Fi connectivity that integrates the headphones as full system members. Active noise cancellation improves with 10 microphones supporting Adaptive ANC, which adjusts in real-time to surroundings. An Adaptive EQ automatically tweaks sound for fit changes, while expanded customization offers basic 3-band or advanced 8-band options. Battery life reaches up to 35 hours, five hours more than the original, and Sonos innovates by making the battery user-replaceable for $25.

Two new color options, including Agave, refresh the aesthetic slightly, though the overall design remains largely unchanged. While the headphones require initiating audio through the Sonos app rather than AirPlay, the seamless TV Audio Swap and headphone linking features deliver a cohesive multi-room experience.
