Details found in Apple's code, spotted by Mac Rumors contributor Aaron Perris, identify an A19 chip and 8GB of RAM. The A19 supports Apple Intelligence, while 8GB meets its minimum memory requirement. The code also points to a C1X modem, which supports sub-6GHz 5G. An N1 networking chip would enable Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread.

Apple has not announced a release date or price for the new iPad. Current rumors suggest that the device could launch in spring 2027, with a starting price likely to match the current model's $449.
