Following WhatsApp’s initial limited rollout of emoji reactions on the Apple Watch, the app is now rolling out support for the full set of emojis available on watchOS.

Late last year, WhatsApp launched a full-featured Apple Watch app, with support for call notifications, voice messages, chat history, and emoji reactions. The launch was largely good news for Apple Watch users, especially since WhatsApp’s presence on watchOS had previously been very limited. Still, emoji reactions came with one notable limitation: users could only choose from six preset emojis.

Now, as reported by WABeta Info, WhatsApp is rolling out support for the full set of emojis available on watchOS. Tapping and holding a message still reveals the six default reactions, but users can now open a larger picker with recently used options and the full system emoji library split into categories.

WhatsApp organizes emojis into 8 categories: Smileys, Nature, Food, Activity, Travel, Objects, Symbols, and Flags. Users can scroll through these to find the emoji they want to use as a reaction. It is also possible to choose a recent emoji from the top of the list. The feature may take a few weeks to reach everyone.
