Next week, the iPhone Ultra will be unveiled at Apple's September event, and today a new Tom's Guide interview with Mark Gurman reveals several fresh details on what to expect from specs, software, launch timing, and more.

MagSafe, a recent question mark, is confirmed: "MagSafe is there. Yeah, all indications that I've heard is that MagSafe is in for this foldable phone." Specs include a 5.5-inch cover display, 7.8-inch inner display, and the latest Apple Pro chip and modem. The crease-less display and liquid metal hinge aim for durability comparable to other iPhones.

Multitasking will support iPad-like layouts and drag-and-drop between apps. Gurman expects the iPhone Ultra to launch alongside the Pro phones: "I would be very surprised if the foldable phone did not come out at the same time as the new Pro phones, or very close to it." He dismisses major delays, reiterating a $2,000+ starting price.
