Many have complained that Apple design has lost its whimsy. But iOS 27 hides an easter egg from classic Mac OS: Clarus the Dogcow.

iOS 27 adds a Liquid Glass intensity slider under Settings -> Appearance -> Liquid Glass, with a preview pane. Scroll to the bottom and pull up to reveal a photo of a Clarus the Dogcow figurine by the Apple Park pond. Rainbow text reading 'Moof!' appears in the example search field. Type 'Moof!' to Siri in Spotlight, and it replies "Nice dogcow."

Clarus the Dogcow relates to an icon created by Susan Kare for the original Mac, as a glyph for the Cairo font. It has essentially no utility; it's just a bit of fun.
