Anthropic has released Claude Opus 5.5, the latest iteration of its flagship AI model, arriving roughly two months after the previous Opus upgrade. This update positions Opus 5.5 as the new leading model, delivering significant performance jumps on complex tasks. Early testers reported that a single user completed a 680,000-line code migration in less than a day, a job that would typically take an engineering team weeks.

In coding benchmarks, Opus 5.5 successfully cut load times across a web app 39 of 40 times, a marked improvement over its predecessor.
