A cargo plane overran a runway at Miami International Airport and struck multiple vehicles on Sunday afternoon, authorities confirmed. The Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft, operated by Prime Air, landed at Miami after departing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, around 2 p.m. Local fire officials reported thick smoke and heavy flames, with more than 60 units responding to the scene. Video showed black smoke rising from the aircraft, which bore Amazon branding.

Greg Chin, a Miami airport spokesman, identified the flight as Prime Air 7598. All runways and taxiways were closed, with a ground stop in effect as of 3 p.m. Emergency personnel reported multiple patients, though injuries were not immediately known. The National Transportation Safety Board confirmed it was gathering information about the incident.
