The Swiss drugmaker will also provide technical support and training through Congo's National Institute of Public Health, with potential expansion to other provinces. World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned that despite progress, "the virus is still ahead of us" and unknown transmission chains persist.

As of Tuesday, Congo recorded 6,250 confirmed infections and 3,039 deaths across 60 health zones in six provinces, with most deaths occurring outside treatment centers. The nation is preparing a revised "One Health" response plan with updated priorities and financing. The World Food Programme has provided meals to nearly 87,000 patients, caregivers, and vulnerable families to reduce movement that complicates containment.

UN senior Ebola coordinator Julien Harneis called for $2.4 billion to address the outbreak and underlying humanitarian needs, warning that delays increase costs and fatalities.
