First-day gains are getting bigger as investors pile into newly listed Indian shares. The benchmark Nifty 50 has now fallen for a fourth straight week, its longest losing run in five months. After stronger-than-expected US jobs data, the focus will now be on inflation figures this week ahead of the Fed’s Sept. 15-16 meeting. The RBI will also be in focus on Monday as it seeks to absorb some of the excess cash in the banking system with a 7 trillion-rupee ($74.1 billion) 30-day reverse repo auction.
