Elliott Investment Management has filed a new lawsuit against the London Metal Exchange, alleging its handling of the nickel crisis breached UK competition rules. The case was submitted to the Competition Appeal Tribunal, intensifying legal pressure on the LME. This follows the exchange's successful defense of earlier claims brought by Elliott and other investors tied to the 2022 nickel short-squeeze.

The parent company of the LME confirmed the fresh legal action.
