Concord Pacific Developments Inc. acquired the Golden South Wind Project, a 210-megawatt wind farm in Saskatchewan, for several hundred million Canadian dollars. The purchase, from Potentia Renewables Inc., deepens Concord's long-term bet on renewables and nearly doubles its total installed capacity to approximately 543 megawatts. CEO Terry Hui stated the deal supports Canada's federal goal to grow the renewable sector.

Beyond wind energy, Hui revealed the company is developing "a few" powered-shell data centers across Canada. These facilities would be urban, low-latency, and under 50 megawatts, designed to house AI infrastructure. Hui cited artificial intelligence and electric vehicles as drivers of increased power demand, asserting renewables can support this growth.

The Saskatchewan wind farm has a power-purchase agreement with Saskatchewan Power Corp and can supply 100,000 homes. Hui emphasized the project is part of a larger strategy, referencing the planned Amisk Hydroelectric Project in northwest Alberta.
