During the final round of the 2026 County Championship you had the chance to select your team of the season. Now, the votes are in! We asked you to choose two openers, three middle-order batters, one wicketkeeper, two all-rounders, two pace bowlers and a spinner. Here's who made the cut...

Openers: Ricardo Vasconcelos (Northants, 38% of votes) was the leading scorer in Division Two with 1,159 runs and six centuries. Ben Mc Kinney (Durham, 31%) posted a career-best 244 and scored 1,044 runs at an average over 50. Middle-order batters: Joe Clarke (Notts, 31%) led the country with 1,288 runs including four centuries. Tom Abell (Somerset, 19%) hit the season's highest score of 307. David Bedingham (Durham, 18%) passed 1,000 runs for the fourth time.

Wicketkeeper: James Bracey (Gloucestershire, 44%) narrowly beat James Rew by 1%, scoring 1,096 runs with five hundreds. All-rounders: Craig Overton (Somerset, 44%) scored 734 runs and took 53 wickets. George Hill (Yorkshire, 21%) took 48 wickets and made 748 runs. Pace bowlers: Kyle Abbott (Hampshire, 30%) took 64 wickets at an average of 16.15. Ethan Bamber (Warwickshire, 23%) led all divisions with 69 wickets. Spinner: Liam Patterson-White (Notts, 41%) was selected despite a lean season for spinners.
