Despite ongoing post-sepsis syndrome causing fatigue, dizziness, and mental fog, Bachteler continues respiratory therapy. She praises Burnley's medical staff for saving her life and remains determined, stating she's about 70 to 80% recovered.

During a recent pre-season friendly, Bachteler became unwell again, experiencing severe dizziness in the heat. She credits the club's support and her coaching staff, describing them as phenomenal. Her family, including parents who visited from the US, have been a source of strength despite the emotional toll.
