Arsenal will consider a move for Bournemouth's 20-year-old French forward Eli Junior Kroupi in January. Arsenal assistant manager Gabriel Heinze reached out to 29-year-old Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez – a fellow Argentine – over a potential move before the window closed but the Italian club refused to consider a deal. Newcastle and Aston Villa will continue their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen's Cameroon forward Christian Kofane, 20, when the transfer window reopens.

Manchester United decided against signing a left-back in the final few days of the transfer window because they were unable to identify an option of adequate quality. Everton rejected a late £65m bid from Chelsea for English midfielder James Garner, 25, because it came too late. Former Manchester United and France striker Anthony Martial, 30, is currently without a club and looking for a route back into the Premier League.

Everton are not planning to dip into the free-agent market. Tottenham's Brazilian forward Richarlison, 29, has agreed to join Turkish club Trabzonspor with his proposed salary three times more than what he earns at Spurs. Chelsea will face competition from Liverpool for Monaco's Lamine Camara should they revive their interest in the 22-year-old Senegal midfielder.
