Business partner's 5K AI PR went untested and failed

My business partner sent a 5,236 line vibe-coded PR for our payments backend that he never tested. I handle frontend while he built the entire backend in one day without consulting me. The PR included AI-generated documentation full of redundancies—like noting API errors return '400'—but missed crucial details such as where to obtain API keys.

When I tested the endpoints, they didn't work at all. It would have taken two minutes to run them, yet he skipped this basic validation. I specifically warned him about the AI trap of declining cognitive abilities, but he replied 'yes, yes, no worries man I know what I'm doing.' This represents everything I oppose about AI-assisted development.

My friend used to code by hand for the mental stimulation, but now he's lost those skills. I'm grieving the death of hands-on programming and may quit this project entirely, possibly becoming a yoga teacher instead.
