Kelly Gago put the Hammers ahead after 21 minutes, racing onto Seraina Piubel's pass from near halfway before rounding City goalkeeper Elene Lete. Viviane Asseyi scored a spectacular equaliser for City, breaking from 40 yards out after being released by Riko Ueki.
