JC Tretter comportamento criticised as unacceptable and emphasized that players are consistently held accountable. The interaction occurred with under five minutes left in the game, following a missed penalty call on New York’s Dru Phillips. The Giants won 36-24, with Deonte Banks securing a pick-six as time expired.
In a separate incident, referee Adrian Hill was suspended one game for unprofessional conduct during the Miami-Minnesota game. The suspensions were issued by Ramon George, the NFL’s vice president of officiating. This is not the first time an official has been disciplined for on-field conduct; umpire Roy Ellison was fined and suspended in 2018 and again in 2013 for similar violations.
