Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta have not ruled out loaning out 16-year-old sensation Max Dowman in the future, stating the club evaluates his progress every six months. Dowman recently started and scored twice in Arsenal's Carabao Cup win over Ipswich, with Mikel Merino comparing him to Barcelona and Spain star Lamine Yamal.

Arteta emphasized that while they want Dowman in the squad and part of pre-season, they will assess his development and make decisions based on factors including his needs, team situation, squad availability, and quality when playing. He noted that loan experiences at 17 can be successful depending on the atmosphere and coach belief.

Last season, Dowman became the Premier League's youngest goalscorer and starter in their title-winning campaign, as well as the youngest player in Champions League history. Over the past nine months, Arsenal sent Ethan Nwaneri out on loan to Marseille and Borussia Dortmund. Jay Bothroyd stated Dowman is better than Noni Madueke and should be in the England squad now, predicting he'll be the future of England for the 2028 European Championships.
