José Mourinho said he hadn't seen any images of an alleged elbow from Arda Güler during Real Madrid's 4-1 win over Sevilla, dismissing the "obsession" around the incident.
Sevilla coach Luis Garcia Plaza was furious that Güler was not sent off for a first-half clash with Gerard "Peque" Fernandez, which occurred while the score was 0-0. Garcia Plaza insisted his team was "denied the chance to play another game, 11 against 10" and claimed the incident happened around the 25th minute.
Mourinho suggested Garcia Plaza was trying to divert attention from the eventual scoreline, noting goals from Güler, Kylian Mbappé and Yan Diomande left Madrid six points behind leaders Barcelona heading into next weekend's Clásico.
"Nobody has been able to show me what they say happened," Mourinho said. "There aren't any images. I've asked for TV images, and for images from my staff who have the tactical camera, and I haven't been able to see any image of what's being talked about."
Madrid's victory at the Bernéu gave them momentum ahead of a crucial week featuring a Champions League match against RB Leipzig followed by the Clásico at Camp Nou. Mourinho also confirmed he hadn't watched Barcelona's 5-2 win at Real Betis, stating he was watching Bayern Munich vs. Leipzig instead.
