Google has introduced Android Debug Bridge Wi-Fi 2.0, a significant update to the debugging tool used by developers and advanced users. This new version reworks three core components to improve speed and reliability. The ADB server received a stack replacement to maintain connections despite network changes or device shutdowns.

The ADB Daemon now automatically manages connections, disabling them on untrusted networks and re-enabling on trusted ones. Additionally, Android Studio offers improved discoverability, making wireless devices easier to find in the Device Manager. Google reports that the update delivers 66% faster connection speeds for 90% of connections and increases auto-connection rates by 32%.

ADB Wi-Fi 2.0 is compatible with phones, tablets, Wear OS watches, and Android TVs. The update aims to streamline the wireless debugging experience for both professional developers and power users exploring advanced device functions.
