Booking.com has launched Lola, an AI travel assistant promising personalized recommendations, live availability, and direct booking capabilities. Backed by Booking.com's extensive ecosystem, Lola integrates with brands like OpenTable, KAYAK, and Agoda to offer hotel, restaurant, and activity reservations. The app features real-time pricing comparisons and natural language processing to learn user preferences.

While the basic service is free, premium features require a subscription. The Plus plan costs $5 monthly with a 12-month commitment, while the VIP tier is $25 monthly. VIP members receive up to 15% discounts on luxury hotels, Gold status for OpenTable reservations, priority event access, and premium airport services.

Lola represents one of the first dedicated AI agents for travel bookings, though it faces competition from Meta's Muse. As with all AI assistants, users should remain aware of potential errors, including hallucinations and booking mistakes. Note: CLEAR has been removed from the launch partner list in a recent update.
