Anthropic has introduced Claude Docs, a new feature allowing the AI assistant to create editable documents directly within chat. Users can request documents like one-page sheets, which can be shared with colleagues or exported to Google Docs and Microsoft Word. The update also enables creating slides and presentations directly in conversation, eliminating the need to visit Claude Design.

Furthermore, Anthropic is merging Cowork and Artifacts into a single interface to streamline workflows. Cowork utilizes agentic AIs for multi-step tasks, while Artifacts serve as saved content in a sidebar. This consolidation aims to create a "One Claude" experience, making various capabilities accessible from any conversation.

The updates are rolling out to Pro and Max subscribers immediately, with Team and Free plans receiving access soon across web, desktop, and mobile platforms.
