Apple Intelligence summarizing of HomeKit Secure Video cameras is very useful, but you'll have to really want it as it's tied to iCloud+ plans that start with a single camera for $10 per month. As iOS 27 comes out of beta testing, Apple has updated a support document that reveals the pricing for its Apple Intelligence features in the Home app. Specifically, the promised Apple Intelligence automatic summarizing of security video comes with certain iCloud+ costs and limits.

2TB iCloud+ includes 1 camera for $10 per month. Apple One Family subscriptions include one camera at $39.95 per month, including 2TB of storage. 6TB iCloud+ includes up to 2 cameras for $30 per month. 12TB iCloud+ includes up to 5 cameras for $60 per month. There is no support for the feature on either the 50GB $1/month tier, or the 200GB $3/month one.

Apple's support document also links to a short list of compatible cameras. That list is on the Apple Store and is of six cameras, ranging from $145 to $250. The Aqara G5 Pro Outdoor Camera Hub is one of the few cameras Apple currently lists as compatible with its Apple Intelligence video summarizing. The iCloud+ tiers do not only offer camera support, of course. The feature was launched to provide additional storage over the really tight 5GB that Apple provides each customer. But it also now includes features such as Hide My Email and iCloud Private Relay, both for privacy purposes.
