Leaker Instant Digital claims Apple and Samsung Display have signed an exclusive three-year agreement for foldable panels, with Samsung supplying displays for the iPhone Duo and subsequent models at approximately $250 per panel. The leaker notes this is one of the most expensive core components of the device. While memory costs are expected to lead the iPhone 18 Pro’s bill of materials, the display cost for the iPhone Duo may be a significant factor.

The iPhone Duo is built with 35 percent recycled content overall, including 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery and 100 percent recycled titanium in the 3D-printed hinge cover. It is manufactured with 60 percent renewable energy across the supply chain and uses 100 percent fiber-based paper packaging. Teardowns and analyses will provide clearer bill of materials details once the device launches next month.
