Thoma Bravo has made a strategic growth investment in Tanda, an Australian workforce management, payroll and HR platform built for shift-based employers. The capital will support product development, AI roadmap expansion, and entry into new markets. Tanda’s co-founders remain significant shareholders, with Jake Phillpot continuing as CEO.

Founded in Brisbane and operating internationally as Workforce.com, Tanda serves around 8,000 businesses across hospitality, retail, quick-service restaurants, healthcare, and other frontline industries in Australia, North America, the UK, and Southeast Asia. Its single-codebase platform addresses complex, regulated markets. Carl Press, a Thoma Bravo partner, noted that accurate pay remains a challenge for frontline operators burdened by legacy systems.

He praised Tanda’s founders for laying the groundwork to become the definitive AI-native workforce management solution. After 14 years without outside capital, Tanda framed the deal as a step toward scale, not a change in direction. Phillpot called Thoma Bravo the obvious financial partner due to their software expertise and shared ambition.
