Apple has unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, featuring the most advanced camera system ever in an iPhone. The new 48MP Fusion Main camera includes a variable aperture with six laser-cut blades, allowing for precise control over depth of field and lighting. Enhanced Photographic Styles and a new computational imaging pipeline improve photo quality, while video capabilities now include Cinematic effects at up to 60 fps and 4K Dolby Vision HDR recording.

Both models are powered by the A20 Pro chip and feature a next-generation vapor chamber for sustained performance. The iPhone 18 Pro Max offers the largest battery life increase ever in an iPhone, thanks to advancements in Apple silicon and a larger battery. The devices run iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, bringing powerful AI features with a focus on privacy and security.

The phones come in four finishes: black, silver, glacier, and burgundy. Pre-orders begin September 12, with availability starting September 18. Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, highlighted the significant leaps in camera, performance, and battery life, calling it the best Pro iPhone ever made.
