Rangers and Celtic have both been issued disciplinary charges by the Scottish Football Association following the trouble that marred their Scottish Cup quarter-final clash at Ibrox on March 8.

Both clubs are accused of breaching SFA rule 37, which pertains to "good order and security" and "unacceptable conduct." This rule scrutinizes clubs' policies and procedures for identifying and addressing supporters involved in such behavior. The charges stem from incidents after Celtic secured a penalty shoot-out victory, which saw some visiting fans enter the pitch to celebrate, followed by an incursion from the Rangers end, with fireworks being exchanged.

The Scottish FA has scheduled hearings for both Rangers and Celtic on August 13. The post-match disturbances resulted in at least 37 arrests and injuries to police officers and stewards.
