Friendly Soul led from start to finish to secure her second Group One victory in the Qatar Prix Vermeille at Paris Longchamp. The five-year-old, trained by John and Thady Gosden, missed last season due to injury but has steadily progressed this term. Jockey James Doyle sent the mare to the front early, and she held off late challenges from Pink Panthera and Sunly to win.

Trainer Thady Gosden credited owners George and Julia Strawbridge for keeping the talented filly in training. Friendly Soul is now a 16-1 chance for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, though connections will assess her fitness before targeting the French classic. The race also featured other competitive performances in supporting events.
