Liverpool have signed 18-year-old forward Djylian N'Guessan from Saint-Etienne on a permanent deal. The French teenager will join the club in January but won't be eligible to play until at least next season. N'Guessan will spend the current campaign on loan at Stade Brestois, where he aims to gain first-team experience.

The young forward previously played 13 times and scored once for Saint-Etienne after debuting in January 2025, and earned seven caps for France at the 2025 Under-20 World Cup. He also shone at the U17 European Championship last summer, scoring four goals and earning a spot in the Team of the Tournament. In a parallel move, Liverpool also completed the £30 million ($41m) signing of 18-year-old goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans from KRC Genk, who will also remain on loan for the season.

Both signings reflect Liverpool's strategy of integrating young talent ahead of the 2026 summer transfers.
