Major League Baseball has announced its umpire crews for the League Championship Series. Bill Miller will serve as the ALCS crew chief, while Mark Wegner will lead the NLCS crew. Miller, 59, is umpiring his 10th LCS, tying him for third-most all-time. He enters the ALCS with 126 career postseason games, second among active umpires.
Wegner, 54, is working his sixth LCS and was the crew chief for last year's World Series. Seven-man crews will work each series, with one umpire off each game. Edwin Moscoso and Nestor Ceja will work the LCS for the first time.
The ALCS between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians begins Monday, while the NLCS between the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers starts Sunday. Erich Bacchus, Lance Barkdale, and Adam Beck will serve as replay umpires.
