Tiger Woods will make his competitive return Tuesday night in Match 2 of the best-of-3 TGL finals, playing for his Jupiter Links team after a season-long absence following October back surgery. The 15-time major winner hasn't competed since the 2024 Open Championship as he recovers from lumbar disk replacement surgery and a ruptured Achilles. His presence provides a significant boost to Jupiter Links trailing 1-0 after Monday's 6-5 nail-biter to Los Angeles.

Monday's opener came down to the final hole, a par-5 worth double points where Sahith Theegala's recovery drive set up a two-putt birdie that flipped the match. Jupiter Links had taken a 5-4 lead into the decisive 15th hole after Justin Rose's three-putt from long range. Despite Theegala struggling with errant tee shots and a missed 3-foot putt earlier, his crucial performance on the final hole gave Los Angeles the victory and a 1-0 series lead.

With regular alternate Akshay Bhatia competing in the Hero Indian Open, Jupiter Links was forced to use Tom Kim, Kevin Kisner, and Max Homa in Monday's loss. Woods remains mum on his status for next month's Masters, noting "disk replacement is not a lot of fun" and that his recovery involves good and bad days. Should Jupiter Links win Tuesday night, Match 3 would immediately follow at the SoFi Center.
