Main Capital Partners is accelerating its UK expansion after opening a London office in July. The Hague-headquartered firm agreed this week to acquire all operating subsidiaries of Tribal Group, a UK-listed education software company on the AIM market, in an all-cash deal valued at approximately £189 million ($255 million; €221 million). Tribal generated £92.5 million revenue and £17.5 million adjusted EBITDA in 2025, implying a 10.8x EBITDA multiple. Founded in 1999, Tribal employs 915 professionals serving over 660 institutions globally. Main plans further acquisitions to broaden capabilities.

Last week, Main acquired a majority stake in Orgvue, its first UK platform investment. The London-headquartered workforce management software provider serves nearly 200 enterprise customers including HM Government, Mars, Danone, and Aviva, generating well over £50 million in mostly recurring revenue. Orgvue will focus on product innovation, international expansion, and add-on acquisitions.

Sjoerd Aarts, managing partner and head of Benelux and UK, said the UK is one of Europe's largest software markets and a natural next step for Main's international expansion, leveraging its specialist software focus and buy-and-build expertise.
