Alpine Investors has launched Eight Group Service Partners, a UK platform combining mechanical and electrical (M&E) and select subspecialty providers to deliver compliance-driven, recurring services to commercial customers. The platform is backed by Alpine's Fund IX, a $4.5 billion vehicle. Alongside the launch, Eight Group brings together MV Lifts, Enertech, KCE FM, DPP, Irwin M&E and four other businesses to form the platform. The combined group repairs, maintains and installs the HVAC, electrical, mechanical, lift and fire safety systems that keep commercial buildings operational. Eight Group runs a decentralized operating model in which partner businesses keep their own brands, leadership and cultures, with management teams continuing to run operations close to customers. Alpine and Eight Group provide long-term investment, technology, talent and shared capabilities across the group. Eight Group serves more than 5,000 clients, employs over 1,000 people and generates annualized revenue of more than £200 million ($269 million; €233 million). Alpine intends to help the platform 'build an enduring group that creates opportunities for engineers, preserves entrepreneurial cultures, and delivers outstanding outcomes for customers,' said Jack Armstrong, principal at Alpine Investors, in a statement.
