Apple's iPhone 18 Pro to Ditch Cosmic Orange for Dark Cherry

Apple is reportedly abandoning Cosmic Orange for a new Dark Cherry color on the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup. The controversial orange hue, which caused some iPhones to unexpectedly turn pink, will be completely dropped in favor of the deeper red shade.

According to *Macworld*, their source provided the complete color lineup for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models. The new palette includes Dark Cherry, Light Blue, Dark Gray, and Silver. The Dark Cherry option appears to be Apple's signature color for the premium models, following reports that the company has been considering various shades of red for its flagship devices.

This color strategy makes sense from a marketing perspective. While Apple sometimes reuses colors across product lines, the company typically reserves distinctive hues for its highest-end models to help users identify the latest and most expensive iPhones. The Dark Cherry shade isn't entirely new to Apple, as the company recently sold a range of accessories in this color, suggesting they've been testing the palette for potential device integration.
