Google is expanding its Motion Assist feature to non-Pixel Android phones through Google Play services. The feature, which uses motion sensors to display moving on-screen bubbles that sync with vehicle movement, aims to reduce motion sickness by aligning visual and physical cues. It requires Android 17 or newer and Google Play services v26.37.

Motion Assist first launched on Pixel phones in September and now rolls out more broadly via a system update. Users can enable it automatically when driving or manually through Quick Settings, with customizable bubble appearance including color, opacity, and shape. The update also includes improvements to Wear OS health sync, Driving Do Not Disturb access, refined system emoji fonts, and Google Play Store enhancements like local-currency purchases in select countries.

Google advises users to watch for the update over the coming days.
