Italian GP: Antonelli wins Mercedes dominates Monza

Kimi Antonelli produced one of the great fightbacks in Formula 1 history, starting 19th due to an engine penalty to win the Italian Grand Prix for Mercedes. He passed teammate George Russell with three laps remaining, leaving Russell 66 points behind in the championship. Ferrari struggled at Monza, with Charles Leclerc crashing early and Lewis Hamilton finishing sixth.

Lando Norris secured fourth for McLaren, while Oscar Piastri finished fifth. Max Verstappen took third for Red Bull. Pierre Gasly qualified on pole for Alpine but faded to seventh.

Rookie Arvid Lindblad impressed with eighth place, and Franco Colapinto scored points for Alpine. Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hulkenberg battled in the midfield, with Yuki Tsunoda and Carlos Sainz also in action.
