كريستيانو رونالدو: مستقبل البرتغال غير مؤكد

كريستيانو رونالدو، 41 عاماً، يواجه قراراً حاسماً بشأن مستقبله مع المنتخب البرتغالي بعد خلاف درامي مع المدرب الجديدorge Jesus. following a 1-0 win over Wales where Ronaldo started, Jesus informed the Al-Nassr forward that he would be benched against Norway. After warming up for much of the second half without being used — a first in 18 years — Ronaldo left the stadium early and subsequently departed the training camp upon learning he would not start against Denmark. Ronaldo, who holds world records for 146 goals and 234 caps, posted on social media promising to reveal his reasons for leaving.

Portugal FA president Pedro Proenca flew to Copenhagen at 02:30 to mediate but failed. Jesus, who managed Ronaldo at Al-Nassr last season, insists the door remains open: “If he wants to, he'll return... Cris is the one who's going to decide.” The nation is divided; fans and media debate whether Ronaldo's exit was selfish or a justified response to disrespect.

Guillem Balague noted unwritten rules protect legends like Pele, Diego Maradona, and Lionel Messi from such treatment. With Portugal's next match against Denmark in November, Ronaldo's international career — unlike Lionel Messi's planned farewell — hangs in the balance.
