NBA Opening Round Action
The Knicks secured a victory over the Atlanta Hawks Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, with Jalen Brunson leading the charge by crossing the 20-point threshold for the 38th time this season, finishing with 28 in the 113-102 final. Elsewhere in the West, the short-handed Los Angeles Lakers pulled off an upset against the Rockets in the opener, benefiting from Kevin Durant’s injury absence; Luke Kennard posted a career playoff-high 27 points while LeBron James contributed 19 points and 13 assists to seal the 107-98 win.
